A quick introduction
Quick little note from XreignZ here, I couldn't decide which to go with so this newsletter is a combined effort of gogeta and PANCAKE, so meet your newsletter team!
Hey there handsome *wink*, I’m gogetarulez and hopefully I’ll be your journalist. Before we continue, I would like to introduce myself, seeing as I will hopefully be bringing you many more newsletters for this wonderful racing league. I am a Dutch teenager (Dutch, look it up) which also means that English is not my native language. This means that sometimes you might notice a slight spelling and/or grammar mistake. If you do, please let me know because I can improve on it. I am also a driver in the European Grand Prix division and part of Team Global Racing. Let’s get on with some actual news, shall we?
If you hadn't guessed already, name is PANCAKEMUFFIN. I am the reigning MX/SX champion from Season 4 and an avid poster on these forums. I first found out about the ORL while searching for Halo Reach tracks on YoutTube. At first, I didn't think much of it, but eventually I found my way into the forging and racing community. Feel free to send me a friend request on XBL and hit me up whenever you see me online!

Race RecapWeek 2 of the ORL Season 5 featured action-packed races and even video coverage of the MT2 race on Sunset Stadium. Let’s get on to the action!
Grand Prix
The Grand Prix Division kicked off the week once again with the GP1 Race on O’Doyle Raceway (Long Version). This is a fast paced and very fun GP track that many people love, it is also one of the earlier GP tracks in Halo 4 as it was also used in Season 4. The key to win on this track was most likely consistency as we saw a lot of seasoned drivers make mistakes on this track.
Grand Prix 1
The Grand Prix 1 division is a very tough division with proven drivers like xNJD1x and Harkler but it also features upcoming talents like BxA Real Deal D. Many people projected BxA Real Deal D to earn his first ever ORL win on this track, due to the possible absence of xNJD1x.
During qualifying Harkler overtook BxA Real Deal D to grab the pole position with xNJD1x in third to start off the race.
At the start of the race, BxA Real Deal D looked real “Smoove” and use his “Holeshot Moves”, meaning that he got a fast start to the race and came out of the first section in first place. Mid-way through the first lap, xNJD1x makes a pass on Harkler to reach second place. Meanwhile, Snake uG and xUnknownMasterx emerge out of a 4-way battle in fourth and fifth respectively. Streetkiller 3 and NKFalc0n are battling it out for 6th and trying to catch back up to xUnknownMasterx. But a lap later Streetkiller and Falcon both wreck which comes to a bitter end for Streetkiller3 as he falls back a few seconds behind NKFalcon in 6th. But meanwhile xUnknownMasterx has also passes up Snake uG who had a promising start to this race. After a few laps it becomes clear that a three way battle for first would emerge inbetween BxA Real Deal D, xNJD1x and Harkler. Around 6 laps later xNJD1x makes a mistake and Harkler tries to make a move, but was wrecked in the process due to lag. Because of this he fell behind xUnknownMasterx in fourth. Only a mere seconds later BxA Real Deal D “morphs” behind xNJD1x due to his terrible connection which eventually cost him the race as xNJD1x never looked back and built up a gap. After this it was only xUnknownMasterx battling it out for third which ended up dramatically for xUnkownMasterx who clipped bordering of the track just before the last lap which caused him to flip off of the track and get stuck there long enough for Snake uG to pass him up. The finishing positions for this race are;
1. xNJD1x
2. BxA Real Deal D
3. Harkler
4. Snake uG
5. xUnkownMasterx
6. NKFalc0n
7. StreetKiller3
xNJD1x now leads the division with 16 points (2 wins) with BxA Real Deal and Harkler tied in 2nd, just 3 points behind the leader. This will be a very exciting division to watch as ORL All-Star Champion Jake Bobius has requested to join this division. Some say it’s the most stacked GP Division in ORL history.
Grand Prix 2
This Grand Prix Division features four veteran drivers and a few newcomers. Many project this division to be dominated by these veteran drivers as the rookies have not proven themselfs yet. On to the race coverage!
After Qualifying it was BrownsFanMan22 with the pole position, Unrealiztic followed close behind and AdaMc66 in third.
At the start of the race, the top three left the bottom in the dust. In the first corner DaManDante was wrecked by teammate on Team Global Racing, Wolf 8499. This put DaManDante in last place and it allowed FredR1ck11 to seperate himself. Meanwhile, Unrealiztic and BrownsFanMan22 are battling it out for first place as both of them are hungry for a win. DaManDante overtakes teammate Wolf 8499 with no trouble and tries to fight his way back. That same lap, Unrealiztic hits a rock on the vicious rock on the inside of a turn. This allows both AdaMc66 and FredR1ck11 to pass him up. But only seconds later he overtakes AdaMc66. A lap later he tries to make a move on FredR1ck11 who makes a smart defending move by pushing him wide, then AdaMc66 comes around and makes Unrealiztic flip off of his mongoose which allows DaManDante to pass Unrealiztic as well. He would need a miracle to bring this back as he is now far behind BrownsFanMan22 halfway through the race. Laps later, DaManDante passes AdaMc66 as Unrealiztic does the same a lap later. After that, lap traffic came into play as the whole field had to lap last place driver Wolf 8499. Unrealiztic passed up DaManDante after he messed up on the technical section of O’Doyle. A few laps later, FredR1ck11 and Unrealiztic are battling for second place while DaManDante goes off of the track due to possible black screen or a disconnected controller. This caused him to fall back to fifth place, but it was too late to recover. Meanwhile, BrownsFanMan22 has been racing a very solid race. He’s very consistent and fast on O’Doyle which allowed him to build up a very big gap. After these events the race falls asleep as people are seperated and they’re all trying to either hold their position or make a last push. It was counted that at the end of the race, BrownsFanMan22 had built up a 10 second gap on second place. The final results of this race are;
1. BrownsFanMan22
2. Unrealiztic
3. FredR1ck11
4. AdaMc11
5. DaManDante
6. Wolf 8499
This division can still go anywhere as we have Unrealiztic and BrownsFanMan22 tied in first with 14 points. Meanwhile DaManDante is only two points away after a very unlucky race. This division might surprise some people this season. So don’t miss any of their action!
Grand Prix European Division
This Grand Prix Division was considered the most stacked GP division by many at the start of this season. It has big shots like Season 4 GP Champion gogetarulez, Luke Dawson, C4M3R0NB3CK, ITZz RhYSs X98 and A Fugly Carrort. But it also features some promising rookies like elite mkb. Some even predicted elite mkb to winhis second ever race in the league. Let’s find out what happened, shall we?
Gogetarulez looked solid and he didn’t have any problems in qualifying as he grabbed the pole position with C4M3R0N B3CK in second and HunterUnit751 in third. Meanwhile people were battling it for the other positions on the grid.
At the start of the race gogetarulez came out of the straight-away in first place trying to get an early lead. Followed was a large trail with elite mkb in second and C4M3R0N B3CK in third. Gogeta is trying to make an escape but elite mkb is staying close. Amidst it all, HunterUnit751 is battling Luke Dawson to secure 4th place with IZDynamiicZZZ close behind in 6th. ITZz RhYSs X98 had a horrible and unlucky race as he was in last place after wrecking a few times. IZDynamiicZZZ is trying to hold off Hunter Unit after he has troubles and falls back a position. Gogeta is slowly pulling away from the pack as elite mkb and C4M3R0N B3CK are battling for second place. The manager Unrealiztic strongly advices both of them to leave it what it is and just try to close the gap with gogetarulez. After a few laps it looks like elite mkb is pulling C4M3R0N B3CK and Luke Dawson in an attempt to close a 5 second gap. IZDynamiicZZZ who was disqualified in week 1 of Season 5 is surprising people as he is staying close to Luke Dawson in fourth. Second to fourth place are really close to eachother as HunterUnit and Rhyss cannot catch up to them. But a few laps later we see elite mkb make a tiny mistake as he clips the rock on an inside 180 degree turn, this cost him two positions as he’s now in fourth. Nothing significant happens on the track for several laps but then Dynamicz hits a bump and wrecks while Hunter Unit passes him up to earn fifth place. Meanwhile, Cameron and Luke are in a very intense battle for second place which has lasted for the entire race, but Cameron is doing a great job of holding Luke off. During that battle we can also see a battle in the back of the back between Hunter Unit and Dynamicz, but Dynamicz wrecks and is also passed up by Rhyss who has been driving alone for quite some time. Cameron Beck is able to fend off Luke Dawson as he earns second place while no other positions changes occur. Final results;
1. gogetarulez
2. C4M3R0N B3CK
3. oOLukeDawsonOo
4. elite mkb
5. HunterUnit751
6. ITZz RhYSs X98
7. IZDynamiicZZZ
8. xDOMdaBOMx
This is looking like a great division with championship caliber drivers. Check back next week to see if someone can defeat gogetarulez who is on a four race winning streak.
Mixed Terrain
The Mixed Terrain divisions feature a lot of experienced drivers, including DARKSTAR o72 who came back out of retirement this season. Last season’s MT Champion I KC KONGO I also returned back to Mixed Terrain. This week they raced on the beatiful Sunset Stadium designed by Bouyboy. This track features difficult to master turns and the most vicious chicane I have ever seen. On to some racing!
Mixed Terrain Division 1
This division has varying drivers such as DarkLynx976, PsychoSeraph86 and RomanSoldier35. This division also features two French-Canadians who are trying to represent the North. All of this makes for an interesting MT Division.
In the qualifying for this race, we saw Stickyman Racer grab a surprising pole position with Vorck in second and DarkLynx976 in third.
At the start of this race, everybody had surprisingly made it through the first corner (A vicious chicane) alive with DarkLynx976 leading the pack. Early crashes take out AMG Carbone and Stickyman Racer who where both looking good on the track. Meanwhile Vorck and DarkLynx976 are heating up a battle for first which would continue for several laps. A pack consisting of PsychoSeraph86, SG Detail and RomanSoldier35 are trying to catch back up to the leaders as they must close a gap before they start fighting. But the vicious chicane takes another victim in RomanSoldier which causes him to fall back 3 positions in 7th. PsychoSeraph86 has closed the gap to the leaders and he’s looking to make a move on DarkLynx which he ends up doing. Meanwhile in the back of the pack Beastly Ski and Stickyman Racer are battling it out for 8th place respectively. A few laps later both DarkLynx and LHRMJxRENEGADEx wreck causing them to drop back in 6th and 7th. During all of the chaos, PsychoSeraph is running away with it as Detail and Roman who both had quiet races are battling for 2nd place in an attempt to close the gap to PsychoSeraph. Roman passes up Detail after Detail goes wide on the final turn of Sunset Stadium. Meanwhile they have also caught back up to PsychoSeraph and they form a snake with Carbone on the end. Roman gets taken out by the chicane and Carbone passes up Detail for 2nd which allows PsychoSeraph to create a lead once again, a lead he would lose a lap later as Carbone passe Seraph as well. A few laps later Detail and DarkLynx crash in the closing section of the track which allows Roman to pass for third place. Meanwhile Beastly Ski had pulled off of the track for an unkown reason, this was the end of his race as he ended in last place. A mistake of both Seraph and Carbone allows Roman to get an easy double pass for first place while Seraph falls back to third with DarkLynx tight on his heels. The race continued for another 4 to 5 laps but there were no significant position changes. The final results for this race are;
1. romansoldier35
2. AMG Carbone
3. PSYCHOSERAPH86
4. DarkLynx976
5. sG Detail
6. vorck
7. Stickyman Racer
8. LHRMJxRenegadeX
9. beastly ski
Look forward to more racing of this action packed division!
Mixed Terrain Division 2
This action packed division featured bigs with the likes of I KC KONGO I and Armada223. This week’s race was very eventful and very exciting to watch. That’s why DARKSTAR o72 was nice enough to post great video race coverage on the OutlawRacingLive YouTube channel. Go check it out below and make sure to comment, like and subscribe!
Thanks for the video Darkstar!
Motocross
This season’s motocross category is stacked as always. MX Champion PANCAKEMUFFIN is back and dangerous as always. There are many MX greats in Season 5 and they’re all out for the prestigious title of Season 5 MX Champion. This week they raced the well forged Vantage SX made by Purple Dinosaur0. This is a great supercross track that has a lot of variety and it’s designed to compensate for less skilled drivers. This made up for some nice racing as everybody tried to stop team domination.
Motocross Division 1
This stacked Motocross division features Motocross legends like PANCAKEMUFFIN and the Unkown “twins”. People in this division are hungry for some wins.
In qualifying we saw PANCAKEMUFFIN dominate the competition with a demanding first place qualifying. In second place we found Simple Eric and in third BrendanFace.
At the start of this race we saw Simple Eric earn the holeshot followed by PANCAKEMUFFIN and StainedBlades29. But soon after people slip up and xUnknownGamingx makes use of it to take third place. Meanwhile theres a large group in the back with a struggling UnkownRacing32 in last. Early in the race Simple Eric, Pancake and Gaming seperate themselfs from the pack with BrendanFace 4 seconds behind after only a few laps. Simple Eric cases the finishing double which allows Pancake and Gaming to overtake him. Meanwhile one section behind, there is a battle between BrendanFace, Racing and Zakvader. StainedBlades is having a horrible race as he find himself 6 seconds behind zakvader in last place. Pancake gets a rough landing and decides to roll and double the section out while Gaming passes him by tripling the section. A few laps later we see leader UnkownGaming trying to take a jump, two wheels off of the jump which causes him to flip and lose two spots. Meanwhile, StainedBlades is getting closer to 6th place driver BrendanFace. A few laps later we see Simple Eric go wide and both UnkownGaming and UnkownRacing pass him at the same turn. Only for Racing to case a double 10 seconds after which costs him two positions. We see Pancake running away with it while Gaming is one section behind. Laps later Simple Eric cases the rhythm section which allows Zak and Racing to pass him up. UnkownRacing makes a textbook pass on Zakvader who falls back to fourth. But Racing loses that position after failing a triple. A few laps later Racing overtakes Zak again after Zak goes wide into the starting area. While Pancake is running away and close to lapping StainedBlades, Brendan is hungry for that fifth spot as he’s looking to overtake Simple Eric which he does after Eric cases the finishing double. That same lap, StainedBlades and Eric are side by side battling it out for sixth but Eric wrecks and Blades takes it. Finishing results;
1. PANCAKEMUFFIN
2. xUnkownGamingx
3. UnkownRacing32
4. Zakvader
5. BrendanFace
6. StainedBlades29
7. Simple Eric
This is looking like a great and exciting Motocross division.
Motocross Division 2
This Motocross divison is another fun to watch division as people may surprise you. In example, nobody saw last week’s second place finish Revengerace v2 coming. Will this happen again, or will the big names take over once again. Read on to find out!
During qualifying we saw TheOffice1808 and CRF150R Rebel fight it out for the first pick but Office came out in first after the three lap qualifying.
In this race the holeshot belonged to Rebel while Office and Hero followed close behind. RevengeRacer and JDog both crash at the landing of the finishing double which allows XreignZ to take fifth behind Shadow Knight69. Office cases the end of the rhythm section so we see Hero take 2nd place. Meanwhile we see XreignZ having though luck in sixth place as he wrecks a few times. But he reclaims fifth after JDog struggles with the finishing double once again. Rebel and Hero seem to have solidified themselfs as the top two with Office a few seconds behind, lonely in third. Rookie Shadow Knight is doing a good job of holding off veteran XreignZ but he later succeeds to pass the youngster. After a few laps XreignZ is all alone and two sections behind him there is a three way battle for fifth place between RevengeRacer Shadow Knight and JDog. But Shadow Knight cases the infamous triple while Revenge and JDog keep battling it out for a few laps until Revenge wrecks. Everybody is now seperated on the track in their respective positions. But after a while we see a battle form between teammates Rebel and Hero for first place. Rebel cases the rhythm and Hero makes the easy pass. Only a few laps later Hero gets spun around at the landing of the triple while Rebel makes the pass to regain first. Office who is having a quiet race is now only seconds behind Hero in second place. While lap traffic comes into play, Shadow Knight gets stuck at the end of the triple and the leader Rebel runs into him which flips out Rebel and allows Hero to retake the lead once again. Office is now right on Rebel’s tail but it proved to be too late as it was the final lap. Finishing results;
1. H3R0 365
2. CRF150R Rebel
3. TheOffice1808
4. XreignZ
5. JDOG0604
6. revengeracer v2
7. Shad0w Kn1ght69
This is looking like a close division with many great battles to come!
That included all of this week’s race coverage. Stay tuned for next week to find out who will make a run for a division title! Check out UNREALIZTIC’s file share for all the races.
