Race Recap:
Week 3 of ORL Racing is over and provided us with some crazy battles! From last lap passes to screaming family members, no one knew what to expect!
Grand Prix:
The stacked Grand Prix divisions drove on the nerve-wrecking Wasteland GP built by Darkstar o72. It features a lot of technical - and difficult to master corners including a bowl turn. The key on this track is turn 7 and 9 near the end of the track as a lot of people seem to lock up on these turns. This track, just like O’Doyle, awarded consistent drivers.
Grand Prix 1:
Grand Prix 1 was stacked as always with t3hmightymidg3t joining in on the action. BxA Real “Smoove Moves” Deal D is still hungry for his first ever win as he’s also determined to break Global’s GP Domination streak.
Qualifying saw xNJD1x take pole position with a huge gap to Harkler in second and t3hmightymidg3t in third place.
At the start of the race we saw NJD take off in first with Harkler in second holding off the pack. Real Deal makes a string of impressive overtakes as he grabs third place. Meanwhile Snake is in fourth, Midget in fifth, SOG Havok in sixth and H20verdrivets in seventh. Harkler loses traction and goes wide off of the track in turn 1 which allows Real Deal and Snake to get past. Midget manages to overtake him that same lap by a block pass. Real Deal is struggling with lag and consistency as he goes wide and hits a rcok which also slows down Snake UG causing midget to overtake them both to put himself into second place. NJD is known for being a fast driver and he is trying to pull away with midget now in second. While NJD is slowly losing Midget, there is a battle going on for third between Snake, Real Deal and Harkler (In that order). Real Deal struggles due to lag once again and Harkler overtakes both Real Deal and Snake. While NJD has a few down laps, Midget is in top form and he’s getting closer to NJD inch by inch. During these battles, there is also a battle for sixth in the back of the pack between Havok and overdrivets. They swap positions for a while until overdrivets pulls away. The race is now very seperated and everybody is driving alone while trying to catch up to someone. After a lot of boring laps around the very long Wasteland GP, Midget is hot on NJD’s tail but then he makes a string of errors which allows NJD to pull away once again. Final results:
xNJD1x
t3hmightymidg3t
Harkler
BxA Real Deal D
Snake UG
H2Overdrivets
SOG Havok
This division is led by NJD who is now up by 5 points on the second place, consistent Harkler. After his first race, Midget is trying to get up in the top three without any doubt. Will he be able to pull it off?
Grand Prix 2:
This week in GP2, DaManDante was absent at the race which caused some stir as he is one of the top runners in that division. Meanwhile, Unrealiztic tried to get his first win of the season on a track he remembers from Season 4’s Championship. Will the rookies finally step up?
At the end of qualifying we saw NAk3dBaC0n14’s second place qualifying dissappear like snow in the sun as he hit the inside bordering of the chicane which allowed Browns to make a last second overtake. In the pole position we saw UNREALIZTIC with BrownsFanMan22 and NAk3dBaC0n14 behind.
At the start of the race we see Unrealiztic take the lead while the entire field is still hot on his hoofs. A few turns later Unreal goes wide and Browns gets the easy pass. Meanwhile, FredR1ck11 wrecks on that same turn because of lag between him and NAk3dBaC0n14. FredR1ck11, AdaMc66 and TeamLTD are fighting it out for third while NAk3dBaC0n14 is pulling away and the top two is trying to run away from him. While FredR1ck11 is running away from AdaMc66, Browns and Unreal are having a heated battle for 1st and they occasionally switch positions. A lap after, Browns clips the inside of a turn and lets NAk3dBaC0n14 overtake him, a black screen occurs which allows drivers in the back of the pack to catch up. Unfortunately TeamLTD had lagged out of the game with now only 5 drivers remaining.
After a caution, we see the same formation as before the black screen as Unreal and Browns are battling it out for the lead. NAk3dBaC0n14 goes wide on turn 2 and FredR1ck11 makes profit of it placing himself in a solid third place. Unreal pushes Browns wide on the third to last turn of the track which allows Unreal to run away and FredR1ck11 to battle for 2nd. But that same lap another black screen happens which helps out the whole field once again.
After this black screen, Unreal gets a fast start out in first while Browns and Fredrick are battling for 2nd. After all of this Fredrick and Browns go wide into a rock which allows NAk3dBaC0n14 to place himself in 2nd place. BrownsFanMan22 works his way back to 2nd in a few laps to end the race as NAk3dBaC0n14’s controller dies on the final lap which allows the whole field to pass him up. Final results:
1. Unrealiztic
2. BrownsFanMan22
3. FredR1ck11
4. AdaMc66
5. NAk3dBaC0n14
Unrealiztic now leads this division with 22 points as BrownsFanMan22 is one point behind him. Dante’s absency caused him to drop 5th with 12 points, but he might rebound after the wildcard. This division is still wide open, but the positions are definitely forming. Unrealiztic broke the Global Racing GP Domination after two weeks of complete domination.
Grand Prix European Division:
This division recently lost veteran driver A Fugly Carrort but he was replaced by (ex)teammate elpmeT. Elpmet was trying to “get lucky” in his first race since the end of season 4 as he wanted make a good impression in his second season. Top European driver C4M3R0N B3CK is absent from this race which gives some racers a better chance. Meanwhile, everybody is still wanting to end gogeta’s winning streak. Will the winning streak continue or will it be put to an end?
At the end of qualifying, gogeta takes a commanding pole position with IZDynamiicZZZ in 2nd and elpmeT in third.
Before the caution on the first lap, elpmeT took the lead after Dynamics pushed gogeta wide. Luke Dawson and Elite mkb became stuck on a certain part of the track which caused this caution.
After this caution, gogeta retakes his lead with fellow Dutchman TG Unggoy in second after overtaking elpmeT and Dynamicz. During all of this, top dog Luke Dawson fell back all the way to last place. While gogetarulez is trying to create a gap, there is a huge fight for second place which elpmeT wins after everybody goes wide. This battle for second has now turned into a battle for third as the Global Teammates are running away. TG Unggoy is having his best race yet as he has held down a podium spot in this race until fellow rookie Elite mkb is hungry for his first podium and decides to overtake him. HunterUnit751 fell behind of the main pack which includes Rhyss in fifth, Luke Dawson in sixth and Dynamics in seventh. The Global duo of gogeta and elpmet is now trying to run away with it but elite mkb is trying to close the gap inbetween him and elpmet. Unfortunately for him, elpmeT has trained well for his Season 5 debut and he slowly loses elite mkb. Right behind Elite mkb are Ryss, Luke Dawson and Dynamicz. Rhyss goes wide and Luke Dawson overtakes him with an easy pass while elite also goes wide which allows Dawson to catch up. Meanwhile, gogeta is making sloppy mistakes as he lost his focus in the race but he maintains a very solid gap between himself and his teammate. In the back of the back, Hunter Unit makes a move on Unggoy who was having a brilliant race until he fell back. Elpmet now holds a 10 second gap to third place, as it looks like Global Racing is bringing home a 1,2 finish. Dynamicz makes a final easy pass on Rhyss after he does a barrel roll. Gogetarulez and elpmeT continue to tease it home as they close out the race first and second. Final results:
1. gogetarulez
2. elpmeT
3. elite mkb
4. oOLukeDawsonOo
5. iZDynamiicZZZ
6. ITZz RhYSs X98
7. HunterUnit751
8. TG Unggoy
This division looks like it’s going to be a close battle for those championship spots. Gogeta has a commanding 8 point lead after only three races as second place Luke Dawson is struggling to earn podiums. Elpmet who has just joined the division is looking to make his way into the championships.
Mixed Terrain:
This week Mixed Terrain took their talents to South Beach, uhm wait what? Of course I mean Fractal SX, made by Supercross forging legend XreignZ. This track is diverse and allows for very competitive racing. The key to this track was consistency like it usually is in a supercross race for the MT Divisions.
Mixed Terrain 1:
This mixed terrain division is full of veteran talent all looking for a win. However, Fractal won’t be an easy task for any of them. The lone rookie in this division, LHRMJxRenegadeX is a spoiler and could do some serious damage.
DarkLynx976 took the holeshot in qualifying, but quickly lost it as he flipped on the berm before the big triple. l Prime xD l lead the way up until the last lap where he flipped on the double double allowing Renegade to take the lead and the first gate pick.
Renegade used that first gate like a charm and grabbed the holeshot in the 20 lap race. AMG Carbone gets a very poor start and comes out last. Going into the second lap, we had a surprising podium with Renegade first, followed closely by Stickyman Racer and sG Detail in third. Stickyman fails the risk/reward section and Detail takes second. romansoldier35, l Prime xD l and Stickyman have a close battle on lap number 4, but it quickly ends as Stucky flies off a berm. A couple laps later, Darklynx gets stuck on the track and falls all the way to last and Stickyman falls to seventh after a promising start. Unfortunate for both of those guys. Halfway through the race, Renegade makes a mistake and Detail makes the pass for the lead! A lap later, Fractal reaches up and grabs both Detail and Renegade. Prime and roman are catching the leaders. On lap 13, both Renegade and Roman make mistakes and AMG Carbone comes from nowhere to take third place. With only a third of the race to go, Detail has a very strange flip through the whoops and loses first place to Prime as third through fifth place are catching. Detail makes another mistake a few sections later and Carbone moves into second place. Roman fails in the same place and falls back to fifth behind Renegade. On lap 18, Prime goes into a flipping rampage on the final split allowing Carbone to take the lead! This also allows Renegade to make the pass for second. Lag issues forced Detail out of a podium position. Finishing Results:
1. AMG Carbone
2. LHRMJxRenegadeX
3. l Prime xD l
4. sG Detail
5. romansoldier35
6. Stickyman Racer
7. PSYCHOSERAPH86
8. DarkLynx976
Mixed Terrain 2:
This legendary division was pumped up and ready to race. A lot of people consider this division as the most fun division as people are very friendly and nice to race with. ETs Monster made a return to the ORL after a short retirement and Season 4 MT Champion I KC KONGO I was absent at this race. Will this help the struggling veterans? Armada is looking to hold on to his first place lead. Will he get yet another win?
Qualifying saw supercross racer eTs Monster take the pole position with Armada and Turkeyshot close behind after a hard fought battle. A surprising side note is that Bouyboy qualified in last place.
We saw Armada223 take the holeshot at the start of the race but he was taken out by eTs Monster in the first whoop section who had lost control of his mongoose. This allowed Try Hard and Bouyboy to slide into first and second place. Right behind was rookie Droideffx. eTs Monster who qualified in first place is now in last place trailing league owner Darkstar, but it doesn’t last long as Darkstar and TryHard case a jump. Armada makes a nice exit out of the whoop section and puts himself over Droid in second place. Armada tracks down Bouyboy and overtakes him by doubling the final split section while Bouyboy plays it safe and rolls it. His lead would dissappear a lap later however after he gets a rough landing on both of the triples. eTs Monster has meanwhile worked his way into third place, far behind Armada in second. Darkstar and TryHard are battling it out for sixth. Armada allows Bouybouy to get a section long lead after he cases another jump. That same lap he cases the second to last double and Monster is now right on him. Bouyboy makes a major mistake on a berm and fails the triple as well which ruins his fat lead. Meanwhile in the back, Droid cases a jump while Darkstar and Try Hard pass him. Turkeyshot has fallen down to last place right behind Droid. Lag causes Bouyboy to fall into a split section while Armada overtakes him. Darkstar has fought his way to fourth place and is now only two sections behind the leaders. Armada cases a triple and flips but Bouyboy hits Armada when trying to get past which also flips him. Meanwhile, Monster who is having a good race, has lagged out of the game while in third place. After Bouyboy cases a jump, Armada has a very fat lead and it looks like he might win this one, but he loses after a few laps. Armada goes to the side of a landing and allows Bouyboy to retake his lead which he would not lose. Darkstar is meanwhile staying very close to the leaders in third with a hue gap on fourth place. Finishing Results:
1. Bouyboy
2. Armada223
3. Darkstar o72
4. IHMJxTryHardx
5. turkeyshot98
6. DroidEffx
DNF. eTs MONST3R
Armada is still leading this division with Bouyboy in second place only five points behind. Darkstar gets out of his early season struggles and is now in third place with 16 points, two points behind Bouyboy. This division can go anywhere and will be one to watch.
Motocross:
This week, the ORL Motocross divisions raced on the technical and unforgiving Hammerdin SX. This track, forged by XreignZ, is very difficult to perfect and the skilled racers will always be the ones at the front of the pack. I apologize for the lack of Motocross content this week, but I was not feeling well and was quite busy . It’s not that big of a deal however, because this is how all the race recaps will be starting next week.
Motocross 1:
The real battle in this race was at the middle of the pack. zakvader got out to an early lead, but mistakes and lag problems ended up giving him a fourth place. PANCAKEMUFFIN took the lead a third of the way through and never looked back. xUnknownGamingx had a solid second place and was never really contested. The real battle was for the last podium spot. StainedBlades29, zakvader and Simple Eric had a super intense race for third right up to the final turn. Finishing results:
1. PANCAKEMUFFIN
2. xUnknownGamingx
3. StainedBlades29
4. zakvader
5. Simple Eric
6. larry the kat
Motocross 2:
MX2 is always very entertaining to watch and this week was no different. With two wins in two weeks, XreignZ was looking for his third in a row, but MX champ CRF150R REBEL is looking to break the streak. Those two traded positions right up until lap 20. XreignZ had a huge lead, but flipped on the turn after the rock section and REBEL took the win. On a side note, TheOffice1808 has had a podium in every race this season! Also, revengeracer v2 had to turn off his Xbox so his evil sister could watch tv. Haha Finishing results:
1. CRF150R REBEL
2. XreignZ
3. TheOffice1808
4. JDOG0604
DNF: revengeracer v2

Race Predictions:
In this segment of ORL Weekly you will find race predictions for the upcoming week of ORL racing actions. These are all opinions which may differ from yours. See the predictions for Week 4 below!
Grand Prix 1:
Breaking News! BxA Real Deal D has unleashed his inner smoove, and he's ready to win his first ORL race. Real Deal is a very promising rookie and he looks fast on Sidewinder, but he may not get the win. His time will come... xNJD1x has been solid all season and has the ability to train with top GP drivers like last season’s GP champion. He is very consistent and “clutch” which may get him the win this week. Look for Real Deal to give him a tough time.
Grand Prix 2:
Grand Prix Divison 2 is a tough one to predict. It has top runners like Unrealiztic, BrownsFanMan22 and DaManDante. But it also has upcoming talents like Fredrick. Look for BrownsFanMan22 to get the win here as he is fast off the gates which will prove to be key in this race.
Grand Prix European:
Sidewinder might prove to be the end of gogeta’s reign of terror as qualifying positions might prove the outcome on this track. There isn’t a whole lot of room to gain on drivers that know what they’re doing. Gogeta usually brings his magic after a few laps, so he might struggle without a pole position. Look for elpmeT to get his first win of Season 5! Elpmet always has a lightning fast start which will help him for this race if he manages to either create a gap or hold off second place.
Mixed Terrain 1:
Seasoned veterans will know what to expect from this classic track...or will they? I’m making a bold claim and saying LHRMJxRenegadeX will get his first win ever after his impressive second place this week!
Mixed Terrain 2:
Mixed Terrain is racing Quasi Superspeedway as it brings back old memories for seasoned veterans. Look for the reigning MT champion to take home his first win in Season 5 after teammates Darkstar and Armada give him a hard time. This will also make him move up in the standings after missing this week’s race.
Motocross 1:
Seeing as I’m in this division, I would like to say I’ll take it, but I believe that whoever wins will have to fight for it! Palm Stadium is a simple track, but it takes time to master.
Motocross 2:
With three third places, TheOffice1808 is hungry for his first win. I say he takes it over the two MX champs!
That about wraps it up for this week's ORL Weekly, the official newsletter of all things ORL. Get hyped up for this week's races and remember to check back in every week for more Outlaw Racing info and news!
