This thread can just be like information on racing, race clips, pics, or other stuff, and information on Racing.
I'll start off our knowledge
Racing 101:
There are many different sports in the world of racing. Different varieties as well as competitors, vehicles, and rules apply.
The Bikes:
Motocross: The sport that is raced on Dirt Bikes (two wheeled vehicles that are motorized and mostly used in off-road racing). This Category of racing has many different Subcategories involved.
SUPERCROSS: The sport of Dirt Bikes where racers compete in a stadium environment with the crowd cheering, and high jumps, and other artificial obstacles to pass. Many types of lines include Doubles, Triples, Quads, Whoops, Berms, Inside Berms, Rollovers, and TableTops. Other jumps may vary.
NATIONALS/OUTDOORS: This sport is where tracks that are created through trails around the world naturally. Often times, National Racing can be very different from Supercross tight turns, and high takeoffs, where in Nationals, Turns can be wide open, slanted, bumpy, and very rocky as well.
ARENACROSS: Arenacross is a style of Supercross, but very short, and mostly around 3/4 sections are on the track.
ENDUROCROSS: Endurocross is a style of racing that is more about being the fasted over immense obstacles, rather than just racing the fasted through turns. Obstacles can include Logs, Tires, Boulders, Mud, Jumps, Tight turns, and Rocks.
BMX: BMX is a sport raced on small stunt bikes that are foot pedaled, and can perform many tricks. BMX riders can ride in many styles, such as speed, going for height, doing stunts such as flips, spins, and body twists. BMX is one of many events in the X Games that include Big Air, BMX Stunt, Best Trick, and Freestyle.
Cars:
Rallycross: Rallycross is a sport that is raced in Race Cars. These cars have their secondary and passenger seats ejected, and extra protection is added for the racer. The races can be from 3-10 laps from heats to main events where the track can have little or no jumps. The main feature of rallycross is the Short cut (Known as the Joker) Applied where a racer can only take it once. Sometimes the Joker is the Long Way. This can be a thrill to watch, to see two racers collide where one takes the joker first, than the second racer takes it. Rallycross is a very hard sport and takes special Driving Skills to Learn and Master.
